Ten club members enjoyed a weekend in Portland diving this month. We used the opportunity of taking part in a ‘Winter Warmer’ weekend – shallow dives up to 20m so ALL club members could attend, including those recently qualified and those that had not dived for a long time.
We dived on Sea Leopard with Al and Freda and the beautiful Minxy (their dog). Our dives included the wreck of the Hartlepool, reef and drift dives.
It was the first sea and boat dives for one of our members after qualifying as an Ocean Diver and was an ideal opportunity for everyone to ‘shake out’ and check their kit etc. before the diving season starts in earnest.
The evenings were good social events with lots of food and just a few drinks and the whole weekend was enjoyed by all – so much so that we’ve already booked next year’s Winter Warmer Weekend!
